In the third quarter of 2022, the top 5 navigation and maps applications on Android in Hungary demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. According to Sensor Tower data, here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at 6.4K in mid-July and then experiencing a gradual decline to approximately 4K by the end of September. Meanwhile, the app maintained a stable count of active users, starting at around 126K and ending the quarter with about 117K.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation, published by AppStar Studios, displayed a steady download rate, with a notable increase to 4.5K in early August. The app's active users mirrored this trend, increasing from 7.1K at the start of the quarter to a peak of about 10.5K in early August. Revenue-wise, the app generated modest figures, peaking at around $21 per week.

GPS+ Maps, Navigation, Traffic by JVSTUDIOS experienced a drop in weekly downloads from 4.2K in late June to just 791 by the end of September. Active users followed a similar downward trend, starting at 5.6K and ending at approximately 2.2K. Revenue remained relatively low but stable, peaking at $25 per week in early August.

Google Earth, a well-known app by Google LLC, maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 1.5K throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable as well, fluctuating slightly around the 13K mark. The app did not generate any significant revenue during this period.

GPS, Offline Maps & Directions showed a decline in downloads from 2.3K in mid-July to about 822 by the end of September. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, hovering around 9K to 10K throughout the quarter.
